VOLUNTEER FOR THE SANTIAGO FOUNDATION -
WE NEED YOU FOR WINTER CLASSES!
HOW CAN YOU HELP? ….
Do you have a skill you would like to share?
Many people ask, “How can we help?” You can volunteer at one of the Santiago Foundation centers (El Naranjo or Francisco Villa). They are always in need of helpers or tutors. Classes are taught at both centers:
CLASSES OFFERED:
English, Hair & Nail Design, Carpentry, Sewing and Knitting, Piñata Making, Cooking, Jewelry, Balloon Designs, Guitar and Singing, Traditional Arts & Crafts
If you have a hobby or skill not mentioned, we would be glad to add it to our list of classes;
painting/art classes,
games such as chess,
or any other talent you may want to share.
You don’t have to commit to coming all the time…..our classes at the center are offered from January to March on Monday through Fridays from 4 pm to 9 pm. You can choose any day you want....one or two hours a week.
The only commitment we really need is that once you commit, you show up. Once the teachers have been notified they will plan on you being there.
If you are interested in helping out with English, (helping with speaking and pronunciation)
please contact our coordinator of volunteers:
Jean Nickelman (nickelmancaj@gmail.com)
For any other volunteer work, please contact Bobbie Stehbens (bstehbens@hotmail.com)
or use the signup form on the left and we will get back
to you as soon as possible.
